Setting up Routes

Setting up Routes

To use Routes in Received Digital, you must first create Locations. To learn about Locations and how to create them, check out Setting up Locations.

Once Locations and Routes have been configured, this delivery information can be used to assist you with two tasks:

  • Sorting items as you receive them to prepare them for delivery
  • Fulfilling delivery requests

Check out Using delivery information to learn more about these tasks.

Creating Routes

Once some Locations have been created, you can create a Route, which is a series of Locations in the order that you make deliveries.

To create a new Route …

  1. Under the the Administration section in the left menu, expand the Delivery group, then click Routes.
  2. Click New Route in the top right.
  3. In the Details section, give the Route a name to identify it.
  4. In the Locations section, you can edit the Locations that are on the Route. To add a Location, click Add Location and select one from the dropdown. The number of recipients assigned to that Location will appear to the right, and the total number of recipients on the Route will update at the top. You can reorder the Locations by using the drag indicator on the left side of each Location.
  5. When you’re done, click Create Route.
