When you’re unable to use a connected hardware device, such as a printer, the issue may be that you’re disconnected from Received Connect. Received Connect acts as the communication bridge between Received Digital and your hardware devices.
Here’s how to get connected again:
Reconnecting to Received Connect
- If you’re within a receive session, click the close icon in the top left or the Finish button in the top right to exit out of the session.
- Find the Received Connect icon in the header (to the left of your profile image). When you’re disconnected from Received Connect, you’ll notice a small red status indicator on the icon.
- Click on the icon to open the popover. In the popover, you’ll see the current state of your connection to Received Connect.
Not connected to an installation
If the message in the popover indicates you’re not connected to an installation…
- Confirm that the computer where Received Connect is installed is powered on and that the Received Connect application is open.
- In Received Digital, click the Refresh button in the Received Connect popover to refresh the connection.
- If you aren’t automatically reconnected, click the Select Installation button.
- In the dialog that opens, select the installation you would like to connect to, then click Connect.
No active installations
If the message in the popover indicates you don’t have any active installations of Received Connect…
You’ll need to set up a new installation of Received Connect. You need to have the Admin role to do this.
